The annual PEN Oakland awards ceremony is this Saturday, December 1st at 2 p.m. at the Oakland Library, Rockridge Branch, 5366 College Avenue, Oakland. Local award winners include Mary Mackey and Q.R. Hand. As President of PEN Oakland, I will be making some very brief remarks to open. It’s free, with a reception and book signing.
