The Oakland Book Festival, now in its third year, is always accessible (compact venue) and intriguing. This year I will be on the panel, “What is Social Justice?” with John Curl and Tennessee Reed, moderated by Tony Rodriguez. Audience participation strongly encouraged.
Where/When: Sunday, May 21st, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Chamber of Commerce Building, 475 14th Street (behind the food trucks), to the right of Oakland City Hall as you stand facing it and just across 14th Street.
The festival itself runs 11 a.m. to 6.p.m. Free.
Thereafter, we will be hanging around the PEN Oakland booth on Frank Ogawa Plaza in front of City Hall.
Come out and get literary. I’d like very much to see you.
